I thought I'd write up a little guide going over the basics of how the Tesco codes work and what kind of discounts are available.
How to use Tesco Voucher Codes
First decide what you wish to purchase at the Tesco.com site, vouchers are available for most products, whether its money off vouchers for groceries or tesco wine discounts you should be able to find a voucher code for most things.
Once you've decided on what you wish to purchase check the tesco vouchers blog (this site!) for a valid code, the codes often expire quite quickly so make sure you check frequently for the latest discount codes.
Using the voucher code
Lets take grocery shopping for example. If you have a rough idea of how much you wish to spend check for the voucher that gives you the best discount. If you are spending £50.00 this might be a £5.00 off a £50.00 spend. You will then need to complete your grocery shopping by selecting the products from Tesco.com. Once you reach the checkout there will be a box to input voucher codes, simply copy and paste the code into the box and submit.
Your checkout total should now be reduced by the discount amount.
Cash discounts or extra Clubcard points
I usually always go for the extra Clubcard points as these can be exchanged for 4 x their value in Clubcard deals. Clubcard Deals are where Tesco have agreements with a number of suppliers where you can exchange your clubcard vouchers for other items.
For example one of the most popular deals is for Pizza Express, if you receive £10.00 in clubcard vouchers these can be exchanged for £40 in vouchers for Pizza Express. Not only do you get to save money online with Tesco but you also save when you eat out!
